10x Magnification Mirror
10x Magnification Mirror designs are incredibly numerous,
they’re generally quite cheap – but more importantly are essential at being able to look at your face and skin
close up.
Many people are self conscious about their skin, and the condition it’s in – particularly on
the face. Although a standard mirror works perfectly fine for a quick touch
up, when you’re searching your skin for pimples, spots, blackheads or whiteheads they’re not as
useful.
A 10x Magnification Mirror allows you to properly and accurately look at your skin, and find
the blemishes and imperfections so you can later remove them. It allows precision work to
take place, such as removing individual hairs using tweezers. This means that you can see the
perceived problem areas on your skin, and act accordingly. Regular mirrors can of course
see a lot of the facial blemishes, but it does generally take a 10x magnification mirror to get a complete overview of your face.
Not only is it very useful for identifying areas of imperfection, but it’s also a great tool
to allow you to tackle them.
Removing annoyances such as blackheads takes a certain amount of accuracy and
precision, using a magnification mirror you can judge distances much easier – which makes the removing of the
blemish easier.
These types of mirrors have been around for hundreds of years, but it’s only very recently
that they’ve become more widely
available. This means that you can buy a
high magnification mirror for only around twenty or thirty dollars – whereas previously these low prices simply
weren’t possible. It’s also even more recently that they’ve been used for appearance based applications such as
skin care. Nowadays of course, it’s practically they’re only widely-used application amongst
households.

There are lots of different designs for magnification mirrors, but one of the most
popular designs is that of a 10x magnification mirror with a stand. These types of mirrors clearly
aren't for use when travelling, and are generally just placed on a table or put away until needed.
They can be adjusted so that the mirror faces where is needed and are relatively cheap to purchase.
These types of mirrors are specifically designed for facial use, as well as home-based use. They
retail from around fifteen to fifty dollars, and can be purchased either online or from most big
retailer outlets. Shops such as John Lewis stock these types of magnification mirror. |

The picture to the left is a personal folding magnification mirror. In direct contrast
to the design above, it's only real use is for travelling. Of course you could use it at home, but
clearly a large version would be more suitable. One benefit of a mirror this small is that it's a
lot easier to use. A larger model such as the one above is a lot more clumsy to adjust and move -
whereas with a smaller mirror such as this you can move it and adjust it at a whim. |

This particular mirror is a vanity magnification mirror. It can be attached to a wall
using screws and are almost exclusively used in the bathroom. One thing to look out for is to be
careful at what height you attach it. Make sure it's where you want it to be because you don't want
to cause unecessary daily back strain by bending to far up or down. |
